How To Get A Website

Learn how to build a Web site - tutorial, tools and resources for the steps necessary to build a successful web site.

By now you've now decided which business Idea you want to use, you've researched your keywords, picked a domain name and chosen a web hosting package that gives you the features you need. it's now time to turn your ideas into reality. It is time to find out how to get a website that will project the right image for your business.

The design of your website is of the utmost importance to your business image. Whether you choose to design and build a website yourself, hire someone to design it for you or purchase a template, your website should be unique, attractive, and appealing to your target audience... So choose your colors, layout and theme with great care. Organize good navigation for your site so your visitors will find it easy to explore. Build pages that have great content, load quickly, and invite a level of interactivity with your visitors.

Three Website Building Options

1. Learn how to learn how to build a website yourself using HTML:
If you don't know HTML, this is probably the most time consuming method to use. However, building your site using HTMLwill be your least expensive option and will also allow you to have complete control over your site's design.

If you choose not to build your site from scratch using HTML, it is a good idea to learn some HTML so you can make changes and fix small problems on your site. Believe me, it is not as difficult as it sounds. HTML is simply a way of formatting text and it is not difficult to learn. Here are three Web sites where you can learn HTML:

Build your site using a WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) Editor
When you use a WYSIWYG Editor, you don't have to be familiar with HTML (Hypertext Mark-up Language; the code used to write web pages) to design or build a website. There is a wide variety of software available that automatically creates HTML code. This is known as authoring software. Macromedia Dreamweaver, Microsoft FrontPage, and Adobe GoLive are just a few of the popular software programs. There are however some totally free versions like NVU. I use Macromedia Dreamweaver and recommend it highly.

Authoring software allows you to arrange text and pictures on a page while it generates the HTML code for you. A program that allows you to design a web page without having to look at the markup codes, is know as a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editor.
In some cases, you may not even need to know anything about HTML to get a site that is ready to be published.

You can also get lots of website building programs such as Website Wizard that will take you step-by-step through the process of building your own website.

2. Use Website Templates:
You can also use a free template or pay for a template and build your site using either of the methods mentioned above. This is the website building method I use and therefore, the one I recommend. This website was build using a low cost template from the AllWebCo Template Website. Their templates are really easy to use and you don't have to know much if anything about HTML.

There are plenty of free templates on the web, however, if you want a quality looking website I suggest buying a template. You can get a good quality website from $20 - $185+ Here are a few good template sites:

imageAllWebCo Design templates is my first choice. Their templates are very easy to set up with excellent support and step-by-step instructions. These templates are not just single page static websites, they include hi-tech features like, drop menus, photo galleries, contact forms and free add-ons.

imageTemplate Monster has a wide range of templates in variety of styles, niches and prices.

imageThe Template Store - this site provides professionally designed website with prices and features that will save you a great deal of time and money.

3. Have Someone Design Your Site:
Possibly the most expensive option of the three, is to get someone to design your website. You could either get someone to design only the graphics and a template for you or get them to design your complete site. Before you choose this option, check examples of the web designers work and be sure to get a quote before the work on your website commences.

If you don't find any of the above options appealing or you don't have the time to build your own website, Stone Evans will be happy to build a fully automated, money making, ecommerce website for you FREE! Within 24 hours your website could be set up and ready to make you multiple streams of income. Visit the Plug-In Profit Site™ for more Information.
