Establishing Your Unique Online Presence
If you are starting from scratch, promoting your affiliate programs, or marketing yourself as an independent representative of a direct sales company, having your website is imperative to establishing your online presence.
Some affiliate programs and most direct sales companies will provide you with a replicated website. Everyone who is marketing your affiliate company's products will have a website that looks just like yours which cannot be modified except by the company. Although these websites are usually good sales tools, they are not suitable for marketing your other goods and services. Also they do nothing to promote what is unique about you and they cannot be optimized for good search engine placement.
If you want to have the ability to market yourself online, your own website is an absolute must. It will allow you to reach a focused, target market and establish yourself as unique in your industry.
